TL;DR: La2Era is a Lineage 2 cluster on the C4, C5 and High Five chronicles built around "eternal", no-wipe servers and slow low-rate progression. Great for old-school grind fans; the x1 pace can feel brutal if you have limited time.

Overview

La2Era (official site la2era.com) is a Lineage 2 server cluster running the C4, C5 and High Five chronicles. The core idea is to run servers with a continuous history, no wipes and no seasonal resets, that stay alive for years — a return to the "old-school" feel of early Lineage 2. It is an independently run server and is not affiliated with the rights holder NCSoft.

The project runs on the PTS (Primeval Technologies Server) platform and is aimed primarily at a Russian-speaking audience that values the classic spirit of the early chronicles and a player-driven economy.

Chronicles & Rates

La2Era spans several Lineage 2 eras, leaning into the earliest chronicles:

ServerRateWhat to expect
C4x1Ultra-slow classic with the most authentic old-school L2 feel. High death penalty, harsh economy, slow grind.
C5x3A slightly faster pace on the C5 chronicle, with the atmosphere of real clan warfare.
High Fivex7-x10The most "modern" branch, mixing the deep late-chronicle content with an unhurried leveling pace.

Every server is "no-wipe": progress and server history build up over years.

Features

  • Eternal-server concept — no seasonal resets, one long-term history.
  • Low rates — every level and item matters, with a classic player-driven economy.
  • PTS platform with solid stability and client compatibility.
  • Authentic early-chronicle gameplay: death with XP loss, chaotic PvP, clan wars.
  • Several parallel servers on different chronicles inside one ecosystem.
  • Free-to-Play access model.

Project History

La2Era was founded in 2018: the first server, on the C4 chronicle at x1 rates, opened on February 9, 2018. A few months later, in September 2018, a second server — C5 x3 — went live. The ecosystem later expanded to the High Five chronicle. By 2025-2026, ranking sites recorded several tens of thousands of unique visitors per month. The exact team behind the project is not disclosed in public sources.

Criticism

La2Era is an independent server not affiliated with the game's publisher NCSoft, which carries the usual risks of the segment: no guarantees for your character or invested time, dependence on the administration's decisions, and possible balance or rule changes. The "eternal server" concept is a genuine selling point, yet L2 history is full of servers that closed despite similar promises. Low rates can be a turn-off for players with limited time — x1 means extremely slow progression by modern standards. The best read on a server's current state comes from independent reviews on ranking sites.
