TL;DR: The Castle Chamberlain is the management NPC inside a conquered castle. Use it to set the territory tax rate, hire siege guards, place teleports, buy clan buffs and run the Manor โ the two main income sources (taxes and Manor) that keep your clan treasury full.
Overview
The Castle Chamberlain is the NPC found inside a conquered castle. It lets you manage taxes, hire guards, set up teleports and buy defensive items. Only the owning clan leader and appointed officers can access its functions.
Management Functions
| Function | What it does |
|---|---|
| Taxes | Set the territory tax rate (0โ15%). Tax is charged on teleports and trade at NPCs inside the castle zone, and the income flows into the clan treasury. |
| Guards | Hire NPC guards to defend the castle during a siege. Types differ by role: archers on the walls, infantry at the gates, mages on the towers. Hiring cost scales with guard type and quantity. |
| Teleports | Configure teleport points inside the castle for fast travel between key positions. |
| Buffs | Buy clan buffs that apply to every clan member inside the castle. |
| Gates & traps | Control the castle gates and set traps to strengthen your defense. |
Plan your hires before a castle siege โ guards and traps are most valuable when the assault actually starts.
Managing the Manor
Through the Castle Chamberlain the castle owner runs the Manor system: choose which seed types to sell to players, set buy and sell prices, and control production volume. Smart Manor management brings the clan a steady income.
Manor revenue and taxes are the main sources of Adena for the owning clan. Treasury funds are spent on hiring guards before a siege, paying castle upkeep, and buying items to grow the clan.
