TL;DR: Corpse Burst is the Necromancer's signature AoE skill โ€” detonate a dead mob's corpse to deal magic damage to every enemy around it. Kill one mob, pull a pack onto the body, blow it up. It turns the Necromancer into one of the best AoE farming classes in the game.

Overview

Corpse Burst is a unique Necromancer skill that detonates the corpse of a slain mob and deals AoE damage to every enemy in range. It is one of the class's core AoE farming tools. The blast damage scales with the corpse's level โ€” the higher the level of the mob you killed, the harder the explosion hits. This mechanic makes the Necromancer one of the strongest classes for AoE grinding.

How to Use

In PvE, Corpse Burst is the Necromancer's main AoE farming tool. The loop is simple: kill one mob, pull a pack of mobs onto the corpse, then detonate it. Repeat the cycle and you can clear large groups fast. In PvP the skill is rarely used since it needs a corpse to exist. In mass fights and castle sieges, however, you can detonate the corpses of fallen summons for extra area damage.

Tips & Combos

For efficient grinding, use this combo: nuke a single mob down, gather a train of mobs around the corpse, then fire Corpse Burst. Pair it with Corpse Life Drain to restore HP between pulls. Remember that corpses disappear after a short time, so act quickly. Combined with summons, the Necromancer running Corpse Burst is one of the most cost-efficient classes for solo Adena farming.
