Overview
The Necromancer is a mage of darkness. You deal magic damage, raise undead minions and curse your enemies all at once. Few classes offer this much flexibility: you nuke, you weaken, you control.
Key Skills
| Skill | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Death Spike | Single-target nuke | Core dark-element nuke. Hits harder when corpses lie nearby, so it synergizes with AoE farming. |
| Corpse Burst | AoE | Detonates a corpse for area damage. Every kill turns a body into your next weapon. |
| Summon Cursed Bone | Summon | Calls a skeleton fighter โ your personal tank and solo-farm companion. |
| Anchor | Control | Roots the target in place. In PvP it stops enemies from escaping or closing the gap. |
Build & Gear
The Necromancer is a classic robe-wearing magic DD. Stat priorities:
| Stat | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| M.Atk | โ โ โ | Direct multiplier on every nuke. |
| Casting Speed | โ โ โ | More casts per second = more sustained damage. |
| Max MP / MP regen | โ โ | Keeps you in the casting rotation without downtime. |
| Dark attribute | โ โ | Boosts Death Spike; defensive attributes cut incoming damage. |
For your weapon, take a magic focus with high M.Atk and an SA geared toward casting or MP. For armor, use a robe set that grants MP, casting speed and resistances. Don't skip weapon augmentation and Soul Crystals to level your SA. Raising your attributes (dark for offense, others for defense) strengthens Death Spike and reduces the damage you take.
PvP & Olympiad
In PvP the Necromancer's strength isn't raw burst โ it's control and debuffs. Anchor plus curses keeps a target from fleeing or casting cleanly while you finish it with nukes. In mass fights and castle sieges the Necromancer is especially dangerous: the corpses of the fallen become fuel for Corpse Burst and an empowered Death Spike.
On the Olympiad, land your debuffs early and hold your distance. Against fighters, root and kite; against mages, rush your burst before their shields come up. If you enjoy mage duels, compare this build with the Sorcerer and Spellhowler.
PvE & Farming
You're self-sufficient in solo farming thanks to summons โ the skeleton tanks while you finish mobs off. In dense mob packs, Corpse Burst turns every body into extra AoE and clears faster. In groups you take the debuffer and secondary-DD role while your undead adds damage and pulls aggro. For group-farm fundamentals, see the party system guide.
Pros & Cons
Strengths: excellent solo farming via summons, strong AoE through corpses, a deep debuff and control kit, and high value in mass PvP and sieges.
Weaknesses: robe-wearer fragility, reliance on corpses for peak output, and demanding summon/debuff micromanagement. If you'd rather have simpler magic burst, look at the Sorcerer.
