Overview
Many Lineage 2 servers add a custom NPC Buffer that grants core buffs for free. This makes solo farming easy and cuts your reliance on a Prophet at low levels. The NPC Buffer stands in every major town, usually next to the Gatekeeper or in the central square. Instead of waiting on other players for buffs, you grab the set you need yourself and head straight out to grind.
Buff List
The exact list varies by server rate (x1, x2, x50, x100, x1000), but a typical NPC Buffer offers the buffs below.

Restrictions
The NPC Buffer comes with limits that stop it from replacing real support entirely:

| Level cap | On most servers the buffer works up to level 76. After that you need a real Prophet, Warcryer or Overlord in your party. |
| Buff duration | NPC buffs last the standard time (usually 20 minutes, without Dance/Song extensions). |
| No Dances/Songs | Dance of Fire, Song of Hunter and similar buffs are normally unavailable — only a Bladedancer and Swordsinger provide them. |
| PvP-rate servers | On x50+ servers limits are often softer — the buffer works at all levels, but without Prophecies. |
| Not a full support | No Chant of Victory, no Prophecy and no Dances/Songs — serious PvP and PvE still need a live support. |
Usage Tips
Visit the NPC Buffer before every farming run — it's free and noticeably speeds up your kills. Build a macro with /target NPC Buffer to reach it quickly. If you play a fighter, grab the full physical set (Might, Haste, Focus, Vampiric Rage, Death Whisper). If you play a mage, take Empower, Acumen, Concentration and Wild Magic. Wind Walk helps everyone — faster movement between grind spots. As you approach level 76, line up a Prophet or Warcryer for your party in advance, since losing the buffer will hit your farming speed hard.
