Overview
The Summon NPC sells summon scrolls, pet food and items for the summoner classes. You'll find it in major towns, usually right next to the Pet Manager. Anyone who runs a pet or plays a summon-based class โ Warlock, Elemental Summoner or Phantom Summoner โ needs this vendor.
Summon NPC Goods
| Item | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Beast Soulshot | Soulshots (SS) for summons and pets. Boosts your summon's physical damage. Sold in stacks and burns fast โ buy plenty. |
| Beast Spiritshot | Spiritshots (SpS) for magic summons. Required for Elemental Summoner and Phantom Summoner. |
| Summon Scrolls | Various scroll types used to call specific creatures. |
| Spirit Ore | Consumable for summon skills. Spent every time you call a summon โ without it, you can't summon at all. |
| Pet Food | Mirrors the Pet Manager stock for convenience. |
| Buff items | Special consumables that temporarily empower a summon (extra attack, defense or speed). |
Summoner Classes
The Summon NPC matters most for three classes:
| Class | Summon type | Key consumable |
|---|---|---|
| Warlock (Dark Elf) | Cat / Unicorn โ physical summon, your main damage source | Beast Soulshot |
| Elemental Summoner (Elf) | Elemental spirits โ magic summon | Beast Spiritshot |
| Phantom Summoner (Dark Elf) | Dark creatures โ mixed physical and magic damage | Beast Soulshot / Spiritshot |
All summoners spend Spirit Ore on the summon itself and Beast Shots on every attack, so keep both topped up here. A summon also inherits part of its master's stats โ your gear and buffs scale how strong the creature is.
Tips
Always carry at least 500 Beast Soulshot/Spiritshot and 50+ Spirit Ore. Without consumables a summoner loses most of its damage. Beast Shots are cheaper than regular Soulshots, but you burn through more because summons attack so fast. To save Adena at low levels you can skip Beast Shots on weak mobs โ the summon handles them fine. At high levels Beast Shots are mandatory, otherwise your summon's damage falls short. The Summon NPC stock is standard across servers, though prices can vary with the server's rates.
