TL;DR: The Overlord is an Orc clan commander โ€” not a damage dealer or a tank. You hand out clan-wide buffs (Clan Imperium), lock down crowds (Seal of Winter) and dictate the pace of sieges. Pick it if you lead a clan and live in mass PvP, not if you want solo damage.

Overview

The Overlord is the Orc leader your clan can't fully come online without. You hand out clan-wide buffs, control the crowd in mass PvP and set the tempo of castle sieges. This is not a damage dealer or a tank โ€” it's a commander whose presence decides the outcome of a fight.

Clan Skills

SkillTypeWhat it does
Seal of WinterAoE controlBlankets an area in a heavy slow. Enemies bog down while your allies finish them off โ€” in mass PvP this skill decides clashes.
Clan ImperiumClan auraBoosts the stats of every clanmate near you. The more clanmates around, the stronger the effect.
TranceSingle-target controlPuts a dangerous target to sleep โ€” an enemy support or DD โ€” and pulls it out of the fight for a few seconds.

Paired with Seal of Winter, Trance lets you dictate the tempo of a mass clash: lock the crowd, then pick off the key targets. If your clan runs castle sieges, an Overlord in the roster is mandatory โ€” without one, you hand the advantage to the enemy.

The Overlord builds out of the Warcryer and is tightly tied to the other Orc classes. For more on class transfer and assembling an Orc roster, read the clan guide.

Build & Gear

The Overlord isn't about personal damage โ€” it's about survivability and aura coverage. Stat priorities:

Slot / StatPriorityWhy
Heavy armorโ˜…โ˜…โ˜…You stand in the thick of the fight beside clanmates to hold Clan Imperium, so durability beats speed.
Blunt weaponโ˜…โ˜…Focus on a useful SA over raw DPS โ€” stable casting and survivability matter more than damage.
HP / defense / M.Defโ˜…โ˜…โ˜…Invest enchant and Soul Crystals into HP, defense and magic resistance so you don't drop under enemy nuker focus.
MP regen / consumablesโ˜…โ˜…Auras and control drain mana constantly in long fights โ€” keep a stock of MP-regen consumables.

PvP & Sieges

This is the Overlord's element. In mass PvP you open the clash with Seal of Winter, pin down the enemy crowd and keep Clan Imperium on your side. Trance pulls key targets off the field. At castle sieges a sharp Overlord effectively decides the outcome of the assault or defense โ€” Clan Imperium powers up the clan while Seal of Winter shatters the enemy push.

PvE & Farming

In solo farming the Overlord is weak โ€” low personal damage and slow mob kills. It levels far more comfortably in a group, where you support the damage dealers with buffs. For leveling, it's ideal to have a strong farm class nearby such as the Tyrant or Destroyer.

Pros & Cons

Strengths: unique AoE control (Seal of Winter), clan-wide auras (Clan Imperium), high survivability in heavy armor, and irreplaceable value at sieges and in mass PvP.

Weaknesses: near-zero solo potential, weak personal damage, and heavy reliance on having clanmates and party support nearby. Without a clan and a group, the class never comes online.
