Overview
The Warcryer (WC) is an Orc support class that powers up the party with unique Chant buffs. Think of it as the Orc counterpart to the Prophet: you roll a Warcryer when your group needs heavy support with a buff set no other class can provide. The parent class is Orc Shaman, the weapon is a blunt weapon, and the armor is light โ which raises casting speed and lets you blanket the whole party with buffs fast.
Party Role
The Warcryer is the second support line alongside the Prophet. While the Prophet handles the core buffs, the Warcryer layers on exclusive Chant effects that lift the entire group's ceiling. In raids and farm parties it's brought specifically for those buffs โ without them the party loses a noticeable chunk of damage and survivability.
Unlike the Bishop or Elder, the Warcryer barely heals โ its job is keeping buffs active and debuffing priority targets. If you're choosing between support classes, browse our roundup of the best support classes.
Chant Buffs
| Chant | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Chant of Victory | Composite buff | Raises several party stats at once. Your signature buff and the main reason to bring a Warcryer โ no other class offers an equivalent. |
| Chant of Rage | P.Atk buff | Boosts the whole party's physical attack, speeding up both farming and PvP trades. |
| Chant of Fury | Atk. Spd buff | Adds attack speed and aggressive bonuses; kept active at all times. |
Smart rotation of your Chant buffs is the core skill of the Warcryer โ keep them all up and re-cast on cooldown so the party never drops a beat.
Build & Leveling
The Warcryer build revolves around casting speed and buff uptime, not personal damage. Stat priorities:
| Stat | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| WIT | โ โ โ | Faster casting means buffs land across the party quickly. |
| MEN | โ โ โ | Stable casting and a larger MP pool for long fights. |
| Max MP / MP regen | โ โ | Keeps you in the buff rotation without running dry. |
| Light armor | โ โ | Raises casting speed โ there's no reason to swap away from it. |
Personal damage is weak, and trying to turn the Warcryer into a DD is a poor investment โ the class earns its slot through buffs, not kills.
PvP & PvE
In PvE the Warcryer speeds up mob kills and raises party survivability, so it's gladly invited to farm parties and instances. In PvP the role shifts to support: you keep Chant buffs up, land debuffs and avoid getting focused, because a light-armor Warcryer is fragile. Stay behind the DD line, manage your distance and switch buffs to match the phase of the fight. To compare support roles in large-scale battles, check our roundup of the best PvP classes.
Pros & Cons
Strengths: unique Chant buffs no other class can cast, high demand in parties, an easy learning curve for newcomers, and fast casting in light armor.
Weaknesses: weak personal damage and a slow solo grind, fragility in PvP due to light armor, and a smaller pool of standard buffs than the Prophet. If you need a class for solo play, compare the options in our guide to the best solo classes.
