Support Roles
Lineage 2 support classes split into three roles. Buffers cast enhancing spells, healers restore HP, and aura supports grant passive bonuses through songs and dances. A perfect party runs all three.
| Role | Job | Top picks |
|---|---|---|
| Buffer | Casts party-wide buffs that boost damage, defense and stats | Prophet, Warcryer |
| Healer | Restores HP and MP, keeps the party alive in raids | Bishop, Elder |
| Aura support | Songs and dances that passively empower everyone nearby | Sword Singer, Blade Dancer |
Supports are always in demand โ you'll get pulled into raids and farm parties nonstop. For a full class overview, see the tier list.
Buffer Classes
Buffers are the backbone of any group: their party-wide spells turn a weak setup into a clearing machine.
| Class | Signature buffs | Why it's wanted |
|---|---|---|
| Prophet (PP) | Prophecy of Fire / Water / Wind | The main buffer. Prophecy buffs are mandatory for any group; endgame content is unclearable without a PP. |
| Warcryer (WC) | Chant spells, incl. Chant of Victory | An Orc buffer. Chant of Victory is one of the strongest buffs in the game; WC replaces the PP in Orc groups. |
| Overlord (OL) | Clan-wide support spells | A clan support that empowers the whole clan. Irreplaceable in castle sieges and clan wars. |
Healers
Healers keep the party standing. Without a strong heal, raids on Grand Bosses fall apart instantly.
| Class | Signature skills | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Bishop | Greater Heal, Greater Group Heal | The strongest healer. Mandatory in Grand Boss raids for maximum healing output. |
| Elder (SE) | Recharge (MP restore) | An Elven healer. Heals weaker than the Bishop, but irreplaceable in mage groups thanks to MP recharge. |
| Eva's Saint / Shillien Saint | Upgraded heal kits | 3rd-class-transfer versions of the healers, with stronger toolkits. |
Which to Pick
Want to be invited everywhere? Roll a Prophet or Bishop โ they're never out of demand. For group farming, the ideal aura duo is the Sword Singer (defensive songs like Song of Earth) and the Blade Dancer (offensive dances like Dance of Fire). For sieges and clan PvP, take an Overlord.
