TL;DR: Recharge is the Elven Elder (and Shillien Elder) MP-transfer skill โ€” it restores more MP to an ally than it costs the caster, creating a net mana gain. It keeps nukers and healers casting non-stop, which is why an EE pairs so well with a Bishop in any party.

Overview

Recharge is the signature MP-transfer skill available to the Elven Elder (Eva's Saint) and Shillien Elder (Shillien Saint). It restores MP to a target ally by transferring part of the caster's own mana. For any party that runs mages or healers, Recharge is essential โ€” without MP restoration, sustained farming and prolonged fights simply aren't possible.

The key point: the target gains more MP than the caster spends, so Recharge produces a net mana "profit" for the party. That positive efficiency is what makes it so valuable.

Usage

In PvE, Recharge is cast continuously to keep nukers (Sorcerer, Spellhowler) and healers (Bishop) topped up on mana. Without an EE running Recharge, mages burn through their MP quickly and have to sit and rest. The Bishop + EE combo is the standard for raids: the Bishop heals, while the EE recharges the Bishop's mana so the heals never stop. In PvP, Recharge lets mages cast their spells without running dry.

Tips

Recharge priority: cover the Bishop first (when the party is taking damage), then the nukers. Watch your own MP closely โ€” if you run out, the party loses both healing and damage at once. Use gear with a high MP pool and strong MP regen. An EE that brings both Greater Group Heal and Recharge is one of the most sought-after support classes in any party.
