Overview
A party groups up to 9 players who share XP and drops. The party is the core unit of Lineage 2 gameplay โ most content is built for cooperative play. Available loot modes are Random, By Turn, Finder's Keepers and Spoiler. Pick the one that fits your group, then farm.
Loot Modes
The party leader sets the loot mode and can switch it at any time. Adena is always split evenly no matter the mode, while XP scales with damage โ whoever hits the mob hardest takes the larger share.
| Mode | How drops are shared | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Random | Drops go to a random member. | Fair pug groups with strangers. |
| By Turn | Items rotate around the party in order. | Even distribution over a long session. |
| Finder's Keepers | Whoever picks it up first keeps it. | Friendly groups who trust each other. |
| Spoiler | Spoiled materials go to the Bounty Hunter. | Spoil-focused farm runs. |
Optimal Setup
A standard party runs tank + healer + buffer (Prophet) + 3-4 DD + Swordsinger/Blade Dancer + Elder. That spread gives you the fastest farm speed. The ideal 9-man composition:
| Slot | Class | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Tank | Dark Avenger or Shillien Templar | Holds aggro and survives. |
| Buffer | Prophet | Buffs the whole party. |
| Song support | Swordsinger | Sword songs (P.Atk/defence). |
| Dance support | Blade Dancer | Dances (attack speed, crit). |
| Healer | Bishop or Elder | Heals plus Recharge. |
| 4 DD | Any damage dealers | The bulk of your kill speed. |
This covers everything: buffs, songs and dances, healing and damage. For AoE farming the mix is different โ 1-2 tanks gather mob packs, 2-3 AoE nukers (Sorcerer, Spellhowler, Necromancer) burst them down, and the rest run support.
Command Channel
A Command Channel links several parties โ up to 4 parties (36 players) or up to 8 parties (72 players) for raids. The party leader creates the channel by inviting the leaders of other parties. You need a Command Channel for Grand Boss kills (Antharas, Valakas, Baium), castle sieges and mass PvP events.
Coordinate every party through the channel chat (/commandchannel). Command Channels are the backbone of organised raids and clan activities โ get them set up before the boss spawns, not during the fight.
