Selection Criteria
For solo play you want a class with fast mob kills, survivability without a healer and low consumable cost (Soulshots, Mana Potions). The ideal solo class kills quickly, restores its own HP and doesn't drain your wallet on consumables. For the underlying XP mechanics, see the experience system.
Factor in scalability. Some classes are strong at the start but lose their edge at endgame. For the full picture, check the class tier list.
Top Solo Classes
| Rank | Class | Why it's strong solo |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tyrant | The best solo class. High damage, self-buffs through totems and self-healing. Works at every stage of the game for steady farming with no reliance on a party. |
| 2 | Destroyer | An Orc berserker with enormous damage. Frenzy multiplies attack at low HP. Risky, but with good HP management you farm faster than anyone. |
| 3 | Necromancer | A mage with a skeleton summon. The skeleton tanks mobs while drain restores your HP. The most economical solo option. |
| 4 | Spellhowler | A powerful Dark Elf nuker. Top-tier magic damage clears mobs fast. The downsides are fragility and reliance on Spiritshots. |
Comparison by Level Range
At levels 1โ40 fighter classes lead: Tyrant and Destroyer. Basic Soulshots are enough and they need no MP. At levels 40โ60 mages pull ahead โ the Sorcerer and Spellhowler farm much faster thanks to AoE. After level 76 every class lives and dies by its gear, so read the equipment guide.
Solo Farming Tips
Grab your buffs from the NPC Buffer before you farm. They're free and noticeably speed things up. Farm in high mob-density areas like Cruma Tower for mid levels, and use Gatekeepers to get around. Keep an eye on Vitality โ it boosts XP and makes solo farming far more rewarding.
Beginner Mistakes Picking a Solo Class
A common mistake is picking a class by its description rather than its real performance. Many players grab archers like the Hawkeye, assuming they're all-rounders. In practice archers rely on expensive consumables and have no self-healing. Another mistake is solo farming on support classes: Bishop, Prophet, Warcryer. These classes only work in a party.
Don't underestimate gear. Even the best solo class farms slowly with a weapon two grades below the norm. A good weapon is your number-one priority. Passive skills matter too โ many of them seriously boost your farming efficiency.
Solo Farming in PvP Zones
The most profitable areas are PvP zones, where other players can attack you. Here you need a class that not only farms well but also survives an ambush. The Tyrant is ideal for this: high run speed and strong self-defense skills.
The Spellhowler and Sorcerer also work in PvP zones โ one heavy nuke can force an attacker to back off. But instant death to a melee DD is a real risk. Keep Escape Scrolls on hand and watch your surroundings. Before heading into a PvP zone, make sure you have no Karma and that your clan isn't at war.
