TL;DR: The Tyrant is an Orc fist fighter and one of the highest sustained-DPS melee classes in the game. Self-buff totems, devastating Force skills and fast attack speed make it a top solo farmer and a fearsome 1v1 duelist โ€” but it must close the gap on ranged targets to shine.

Overview

The Tyrant is an Orc warrior who fights with fist weapons. You put out one of the highest melee DPS profiles in the game โ€” no swords, no bows, just your fists and raw power. The trade-off is range: you have to get in close to deal damage.

Key Skills

SkillTypeWhat it does
Totem of BearSelf-buffSharply raises your P.Atk. Activate it before every fight.
Totem of EagleSelf-buffBoosts attack speed and accuracy so your fists land faster and don't miss evasive targets.
Force BusterForce attackA powerful charge-fueled strike. Build up charges and unleash it at full stacks.
Burning FistSingle-targetA fiery finishing punch โ€” cheap and ideal for mopping up low-HP targets.
Soul Guard / Touch of DeathUtility / ControlAdd survivability and control. Layering totems before a fight is half the Tyrant's strength.

Build & Gear

The Tyrant is a light-armor melee DD built around fist weapons and attack speed. Stat priorities:

StatPriorityWhy
P.Atkโ˜…โ˜…โ˜…Direct multiplier on every hit and Force skill.
Atk. Spdโ˜…โ˜…โ˜…More attacks per second = more sustained DPS and faster charge build-up.
Critical Rate / Damageโ˜…โ˜…Crits spike your burst between Force skills.
Accuracyโ˜…โ˜…Keeps your fists landing on evasive PvP targets.

Your main weapon is a fist weapon (cestus) with high P.Atk and the right Special Ability (SA), enchanted to the highest level you can reach. The higher the enchant and Soul Crystal grade, the more your damage climbs. For armor, wear a light armor set โ€” it grants attack and casting speed that converts straight into DPS. Take earrings and rings for P.Atk, attack speed and crit, and use Soul Crystals and augmentation for extra passive bonuses tuned to your playstyle.

PvE & Farming

In PvE the Tyrant is one of the best solo farmers. High sustained DPS, self-buff totems and light armor let you grind without a healer on most maps. Before engaging a mob pack, activate Totem of Bear and Totem of Eagle, dive in, and keep charges ready for Force Buster. Finish survivors with Burning Fist to save MP.

In a party the Tyrant fills the pure melee-DD role: while the tank holds aggro, you pour damage into the boss or elite mobs. To compare farming options with other classes, see the roundup of best classes.

PvP & Olympiad

In PvP the Tyrant is a serious threat. Totems empower you, Force skills land massive burst damage, and high attack speed never lets the enemy breathe. The Tyrant ranks among the top 1v1 duelists โ€” few classes can survive a full totem-and-Force rotation. Against mages and archers, dash in to close the gap and break their cast immediately.

The Olympiad is its own discipline, where clean totem timing decides the match. In mass PvP and castle sieges the Tyrant dives the backline to delete squishy nukers and healers before they can react.

Pros & Cons

Strengths: one of the highest melee DPS profiles, powerful self-buff totems, excellent solo farming, an easy learning curve for beginners, and strong 1v1 duels.

Weaknesses: range dependence โ€” damage drops sharply against kiting ranged classes if you can't close the gap; light armor means lower physical defense; and the rotation needs totems prepped in advance. Similar melee classes to compare are the Destroyer and Overlord.
