TL;DR: The Scroll of Enchant Armor (EAS) safely raises armor up to +3. Beyond that, a failed enchant crystallizes the piece. Rates match weapon enchanting, so push every part to at least +3 and switch to Blessed scrolls for risky +5 attempts on expensive sets.

Overview

The Scroll of Enchant Armor (EAS) raises the enchant level of a piece of armor. The safe enchant level is +3 โ€” failures up to that point cannot destroy the item. Success rates mirror weapon enchanting. If an enchant fails above the safe level, the armor crystallizes and is lost.

Why Enchant Armor

Each enchant level increases the P.Def of the piece. Across a full set of 5 parts, a +4 enchant adds a noticeable defense boost. For tanks, enchanting armor matters more than enchanting your weapon โ€” every point of P.Def reduces the physical damage you take. On the Olympiad, enchanted armor can decide the outcome of a match.

Enchanting Strategy

StepWhat to doWhy
Start cheapEnchant the least valuable pieces first (gloves, boots)If they crystallize, replacements are cheaper.
Go safeTake every piece to at least +3Safe enchanting is risk-free, so there's no reason to stop early.
Cap A-gradeStop A-grade armor at +4 with regular scrollsThe failure chance at +5 is already around 50%.
Go BlessedUse Blessed Scroll of Enchant Armor (BEAS) for +5 and higher on costly setsA failed Blessed enchant keeps the item instead of destroying it.
