TL;DR: Giant Fungus is a level 45 plant-type mob in the Sea of Spores. It is non-aggressive with high HP but weak defense, drops crafting materials and herbs, and is vulnerable to fire. A solid, low-risk XP and farming target for levels 42โ€“50, especially for fire mages and AoE parties.

Overview

Giant Fungus is a level 45 plant-type (Plant) mob found in the Sea of Spores on the Scryde server. It is a towering poisonous mushroom that attacks travelers with toxic spores. Despite its plain appearance, Giant Fungus has more HP than a typical mob of its level, which makes it a decent target for XP farming.

Stats & Drops

Giant Fungus has high HP but low physical defense and almost no magic attack beyond its poison. It can apply a Poison debuff that ticks HP away over time. On kill it drops Stem, Suede, Thread and herbs (Herb of Life, Herb of Mana). Spoil yields Fungus Juice and other alchemy materials. As a plant, it is weak to fire attacks.

Tactics

Giant Fungus is non-aggressive and won't attack first, so the zone is safe to travel through. Once engaged it can apply poison โ€” keep an Antidote or a cleanse skill handy. The ideal farming range is levels 42โ€“50. Fire nukers deal extra damage thanks to its plant weakness. Almost any class can solo it. In a party you can clear the zone efficiently with AoE skills, pulling several fungi at once.

Location

Sea of Spores lies to the northeast of the town of Oren. It is a large zone with a dense spawn of plant-type mobs, including Giant Fungus and its variants. The zone is also famous as the lair of the Epic Boss Orfen. The nearest teleport is from Oren via the Gatekeeper. Mob respawn is fast, providing nonstop farming with no downtime.
