Overview
Scryde is a long-running L2-style MMORPG that launched in 2015. Over 11 years it has gathered more than 2,000,000 registered accounts and an active community. You get a deep class system with over 30 classes, large-scale PvP, Grand Boss raids and constantly updated content. The game is free — download the client and follow the beginner's guide.
How It Differs From Other MMORPGs
Scryde stands out through several core features:
Deep class system. Over 30 classes with unique skills and three class transfers. Every class plays differently — from the AoE-farming Destroyer to the Prophet buffer. Up to 3 subclasses add even more flexibility.
Living PvP at every level. The PvP system runs in the open world, in castle sieges and on the Olympiad. Unlike most MMORPGs where PvP is a separate mode, here it's woven into the core gameplay.
Player-driven economy. The whole economy is built on player trade, crafting and the Manor. No pay-to-win — your success depends on skill and time invested.
Clan politics. Clans wage wars, capture castles and control territory. Political intrigue and alliances are part of the gameplay you won't find in most modern MMORPGs.
Custom mechanics. A talent system, class reset (change class without losing your level), a weekly Olympiad and extended augmentation are custom additions you won't see in other games.
Pick your pace. Five servers with rates from x1 to x1000. Choose your tempo: hardcore players grind low-rate, casuals jump to high-rate.
History
Scryde launched in 2015. Over 11 years it has shipped more than 50 major updates. Key milestones: 2015 — first server goes live; 2016 — the talent system; 2017 — Server X (low-rate); 2018 — the switch to a weekly Olympiad; 2020 — the x100 and x1000 servers; 2023 — reworked sieges and new Epic Bosses. The game keeps evolving with regular updates.
Servers
Scryde runs five servers for different tastes:
Server X — low-rate (x1). For hardcore players who value a long climb and classic gameplay. The most stable server.
Server X2 — mid-rate. A balance between progression speed and content depth.
Server X50 — a fast start that still keeps the core mechanics intact.
Server X100 — for players who want to reach endgame and PvP faster.
Server X1000 — the maximum rate, if you want to jump straight into PvP and sieges.
Community
Scryde's active community numbers in the hundreds of thousands. The main hubs are Telegram (news and per-server chats), VK (the official group) and Discord (voice chat and group finding). Events run regularly: PvP tournaments, clan wars and seasonal events with unique rewards. Streamers and content creators put out guides and reviews. New players have a detailed beginner's guide and in-game help from the Newbie Helper NPC.
Unique Systems
Talent system — a custom progression tree with passive bonuses. Tune your character to your style: offense, defense or utility.
Class reset — change class without losing your level. Picked the wrong class? No need to roll a new character.
Subclass certificates — extra skills from subclasses that reinforce your main class.
Weekly Olympiad — a PvP tournament with rewards every week instead of once a month. Winners earn Hero status.
Extended enchanting — an gear upgrade system with Blessed Scrolls that lower the risk of losing an item.
How to Start Playing
You can be in-game within minutes. The steps:
1. Register. Create an account on the official site. All you need is an email and a password.
2. Download the client. Download the client from the official site. It's around 3 GB and supports Windows 7/10/11.
3. Choose a server. Beginners do well on x50 or x100 — a fast start and a quick path to interesting content. Hardcore players take x1.
4. Create a character. Pick a race and a starting class. Not sure who to play? Check the class tier list. For a first character, pick self-sufficient ones: Tyrant, Destroyer, Sorcerer.
5. First steps. Finish the tutorial and grab free buffs from the NPC Buffer. Step-by-step instructions are in the beginner's guide.
Endgame Content
At max level Scryde fully opens up. Here's what waits for you:
Epic Boss raids. Antharas, Valakas, Baium and other Raid Bosses demand coordinated play from dozens of players and drop the best gear in the game.
Castle sieges. Weekly sieges are the main clan event. Holding a castle gives your clan economic bonuses and political influence.
Olympiad. A weekly 1v1 PvP tournament. The best player in each class earns Hero status and a unique weapon.
S-grade crafting. Crafting the best gear requires rare materials from bosses and dangerous zones. Master crafters are among the richest players on a server.
Clan wars. Clans compete for control of farming zones, bosses and political dominance. Large-scale open-world GvG (Guild vs Guild) battles are a daily reality.
