TL;DR: To reach Baium, one of the toughest Grand Bosses, you first clear the Baium key quest inside the Tower of Insolence, then bring at least 18 players (2 full parties) with tanks, Bishops and DD. Kill him for the epic Baium Ring. Min level 75, but 78+ with good gear is far safer.

Requirements

To reach Baium โ€” one of the strongest Grand Bosses (Epic Bosses) in the game โ€” you first complete the Baium key quest. The minimum level for the raid is 75. To climb the Tower of Insolence you'll need a full raid with tanks, healers and DD.

Stock up on Scrolls of Resurrection, healing potions, and enough Soulshots / Spiritshots to last a long fight.

Getting the Key

You earn the Baium key through a quest chain. Start at the NPC at the foot of the Tower of Insolence. Climb several floors, kill the guardians and collect the key fragments. Each guardian is a mini-boss that calls for a party of 5โ€“9 players.

Once you have all the fragments, assemble the key at the NPC and unlock access to the top floor. See the full walkthrough in the Baium key guide.

Climbing the Tower

The Tower of Insolence has many floors, and each one is harder than the last. Bring a balanced party: a Paladin or Dark Avenger as tank, a Bishop for healing, a Prophet for buffs, and fill the rest with DD.

On the upper floors, monsters hit with heavy AoE attacks. Stay grouped and don't split the raid. You can reach the tower via the Gatekeeper in Aden.

Baium Fight

Baium is one of the hardest Grand Bosses in the game: a massive HP pool, powerful AoE attacks, and the ability to one-shot a poorly geared character. For a clean kill you need at least two full parties (18 players) with an optimal composition.

Your tank holds aggro with Hate, your healers chain-heal, and your DD push maximum damage. Killing Baium rewards the epic ring and other valuable items. For the other Grand Bosses, check the Raid Boss list.

Tactics by Role

RoleJob during the fight
Tanks (Paladin / Dark Avenger)Hold Baium's aggro with Hate and Aggression. Face the boss and turn it away from the raid. Run two tanks: the main holds the boss, the backup snaps aggro if the main dies. Use Soulshots to boost your provoke and watch your aggro cooldowns.
Healers (Bishop)A Bishop is mandatory. Assign one as the "tank healer" โ€” they keep the tank up with Greater Heal. The rest use Greater Group Heal to carry the raid through AoE. In a crisis, prioritize Resurrection on tanks and other healers first.
DD (ranged: Sagittarius, Storm Screamer; melee: Gladiator, Tyrant)Ranged DD stand behind the boss and maximize damage. Melee attack from the flank to dodge frontal AoE. When adds spawn, switch to them immediately โ€” they will shred your healers fast.
Buffer (Prophet)Hand out buffs before the pull and refresh them after any res. Priority: Berserker Spirit, Haste, Might. On low-rate servers bring two buffers โ€” one can't cover the whole raid.

Rewards & Drops

The main reward is the Baium Ring. This epic ring gives a major boost to M.Atk, Casting Speed and magic resistance, making it ideal for mages and healers. For fighters it's less effective than rings with physical stats.

Besides the ring, Baium can drop:

DropNotes
S-grade Enchant Weapon Scrolls1โ€“3 per kill
Blessed Enchant ScrollsRare drop
Materials for crafting S-grade gearUsed in high-end recipes
High-level Life StoneFor augmentation

The raid leader distributes the loot. Most groups run DKP or a roll system โ€” agree on the rules in advance to avoid conflict.
