TL;DR: A Scroll of Resurrection (res scroll) revives a fallen player and restores part of the lost XP. The regular scroll returns about 60% of lost XP; the Blessed Scroll of Resurrection restores it in full. Carry Blessed scrolls on raids โ€” they don't work on the Olympiad.

Overview

The Scroll of Resurrection is a consumable that revives a fallen player and restores part of the experience lost on death. The Blessed Scroll of Resurrection restores the full amount of lost XP. Both are essential items to keep in your inventory before any serious raid, where a single death can wipe a fight if your tank or healer can't be brought back fast.

Variants

ItemXP RestoredNotes
Scroll of Resurrection~60% of lost XPCheap and widely available, but you still lose some experience on revive.
Blessed Scroll of Resurrection100% of lost XPRestores everything, but costs significantly more. The choice for raids and high levels.

Beyond scrolls, resurrection is also available from healers. A Bishop (Resurrection), Elder (Resurrection) and Shillien Saint (Resurrection) all carry the skill, and at high levels a healer's Resurrection skill restores up to 90% of lost XP. Scrolls fill the gap when no healer is around or when one is needed to be revived themselves.

When to Use

On Grand Boss and epic-boss raids, always carry a Blessed Scroll so you can instantly bring back a tank or healer if they go down โ€” a quick res can be the difference between a kill and a wipe. On the Olympiad, resurrection scrolls do not work at all.

In mass PvP, regular scrolls are usually enough: XP comes slowly at high levels, so every unrecovered death stings. As a rule of thumb, your party leader and every healer should carry 3โ€“5 Blessed Scrolls of Resurrection at all times.
