Vitality System Basics
The Vitality system grants you bonus XP for killing monsters. Vitality is a stored resource: you spend it while farming and recover it while resting. The higher your Vitality level, the more extra experience you earn per kill.
Vitality works hand in hand with the experience system and dramatically speeds up leveling. Master this mechanic โ it's critical for efficient leveling.
Vitality Levels
There are four Vitality levels, each with its own XP multiplier. Once Vitality is fully drained, the bonus disappears and you earn standard XP again.
| Vitality Level | XP Multiplier | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | x1.5 | Entry bonus โ 50% extra XP. |
| Level 2 | x2.0 | Double XP per kill. |
| Level 3 | x2.5 | 2.5x XP โ strong leveling pace. |
| Level 4 | x3.0 | Maximum tier โ triples your experience. |
Drain is proportional to the XP you gain. AoE farming through large mob packs eats Vitality faster. In a party the drain does not increase โ one more reason to play together.
How to Recover Vitality
The first method is logging off. For every hour offline your Vitality slowly climbs back up; a full refill takes several days.
The second is Vitality potions, bought from grocery NPCs or earned as activity rewards. The third is Vitality-restoring buffs from the Adventurer Guide. Vitality also returns to full on the weekly server reset.
Usage Tips
Spend Vitality where it pays off most. Farm in the best XP zones โ Primeval Isle, the catacombs and other endgame areas. Grab buffs from an NPC Buffer and a Prophet โ faster farming means more XP per point of Vitality.
Out of Vitality? Switch to adena farming, quests or PvP content like the Olympiad. That keeps your time productive while the resource recovers. For more, see the leveling guide.
Vitality & Group Farming
Group farming is the best way to squeeze the most out of Vitality. In a party the drain doesn't grow, but your kill speed multiplies. For the same Vitality spent, you'll gain far more XP than solo.
An ideal Vitality-farm party: a damage dealer (Sorcerer or Destroyer), a healer (Bishop) and a buffer (Prophet). With this core you farm high-level mobs and extract maximum XP per point of Vitality.
Coordinate farm sessions with your clan. Ideally everyone logs in with full Vitality and farms together. Once Vitality runs dry, pivot to castle sieges, clan wars or the Olympiad โ none of these consume Vitality.
In a duo combo, Vitality drains as if you were solo, but the XP is split in two. For a duo to pay off, your pair must farm more than twice as fast. Keep that in mind when planning sessions.
Vitality for Beginners
Just starting out? Vitality is your biggest ally. New characters begin at the top level (4, x3.0 XP). Don't waste that bonus on low-level mobs around the starting town.
Your strategy: clear the early quests without Vitality (quest XP doesn't drain it), pick up basic gear, take buffs from an NPC Buffer, and only then go grind mobs. That way Vitality pays off the most.
Don't be afraid to log off to recover. Offline regen is the main Vitality source for most players. Play actively for 2-3 hours, then take a break โ Vitality will partly refill overnight.
Watch for the weekly server reset, when Vitality refills completely. Plan your most intense farm sessions for the start of the week. By week's end, shift to PvP, crafting or trading adena. For more first steps, see the beginner's guide.
