Overview

The Lith Guard is a stone-golem dungeon mob, levels 45โ€“55, that guards the catacombs in Scryde. These massive stone sentinels have very high physical defense (P.Def), which makes them resistant to melee attacks. Lith Guards are one of the staple mobs in the Catacomb of Dark Omens and grant more XP than comparable open-world mobs, which is what makes the catacombs such a popular farming zone.

Stats & Drop

The Lith Guard has high HP and heavy P.Def, but relatively low M.Def and attack speed. It drops Stone of Purity, Spirit Ore, Mithril Ore and other C-grade crafting materials. Spoil yields Iron Ore, Varnish and Crystal (C-grade). Guard-type mobs give roughly 30โ€“50% more XP than ordinary mobs of the same level in the open world, which makes the catacombs the preferred leveling spot.

Tactics

Because of their high P.Def, the best way to kill Lith Guards is with magic โ€” nukers and mages clear them far faster than melee DD. The sweet-spot farming range is levels 44โ€“54. For group farming, run a party of 3โ€“5 with a nuker and a healer. Melee classes can farm Lith Guards solo, but kills take longer. When AoE farming, keep in mind that catacomb mobs spawn in tight clusters and can aggro as a group.

Location

Lith Guards live in the Catacomb of Dark Omens, a dungeon next to the Ivory Tower, northwest of the town of Oren. The entrance sits on the surface and is marked by a distinctive portal. Inside, mobs are packed in dense groups of 3โ€“5. Fast respawns let you farm without downtime. The zone also works as a route to the Raid Bosses (RB) that dwell deeper in the catacombs.
