Overview
Silenos are minotaur-like humanoids of levels 50–75 in Lineage 2. They are large horned warriors that live in clans across the mountain regions. The Silenos family covers many subspecies — Silenos, Silenos Warrior, Silenos Scout, Silenos Captain and Varka Silenos — each with its own level, skills and role. The high-level Varka Silenos tie into the alliance quest system (Varka vs Ketra), which makes them an important piece of endgame content.
Stats & Drops
Silenos have high HP and strong physical attack. The base subspecies (level 50–60) drop B-grade materials: Mithril Alloy, Synthetic Cokes and Varnish of Purity. High-level Varka Silenos (73–80) drop A-grade and S-grade materials, recipes and rare resources. Spoil yields Metallic Fiber, Mold Hardener and other valuable components. Varka Silenos also drop Varka Alliance Tokens, which you need to build up your alliance against the Ketra Orcs.
Tactics
How you farm Silenos depends on the subspecies. Base Silenos (50–60) can be cleared solo or in a small group. The Varka Silenos Barracks (73–80) is a zone for a full 9-player party with a healer and a tank. Mobs in the Barracks are aggressive and help each other when attacked (social aggro), so A-grade gear is the minimum recommendation. Joining the Varka/Ketra alliance system requires completing the prerequisite quests out of Goddard.
Location
Silenos appear in several zones: Hot Springs (mid-level subspecies 50–60), Varka Silenos Outpost and Varka Silenos Barracks (high-level 73–80). Hot Springs lies west of Goddard and is a group-leveling zone with the hot-spring debuff buffs. Varka Barracks is the final grind zone, located northwest of Goddard. Teleport is available from Goddard town.
