Overview
The Temple Knight is an Elven tank with one unique trait: Cubics. You don't just soak hits โ you bring the party extra damage and healing on top. It's a balanced class with excellent survivability. It develops from the Elven Knight and suits players who want a reliable frontline without complex micromanagement.
Role & Strengths
The Temple Knight's main job is to gather and hold aggro on yourself, shielding healers and DDs from direct damage. Thanks to heavy armor and a shield, the class stands firm against bosses and in mass PvP.
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Strengths | High survivability, cheap mana-free Cubic damage, beginner-friendly playstyle. |
| Weaknesses | Lower personal damage than pure DDs; weaker in solo farming than burst classes; needs a party and buffers to reach full potential. |
Cubics
Your Cubics work automatically โ they attack enemies and heal you without spending MP. Summon them and forget them. This gives you an edge over other tanks in drawn-out fights. Cubics trigger throughout combat, so they add noticeable extra damage and healing on both farming and PvP.
Key Skills
| Skill | Type | What it does |

| Defensive Buffs | Buff | Raise P.Def and M.Def to turn yourself into a wall the party can rely on. |
| Slowing Aura | AoE debuff | Slows nearby enemies, helping you control the frontline. |
| Shield Mastery | Passive | Boosts block rate and resistances โ the skills that truly make the Temple Knight tanky. |

Build & Gear
The standard setup is a one-handed sword plus shield and a full heavy armor set. Stat priorities:
| Stat | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| HP | โ โ โ | Raw durability so you stay standing on bosses and in mass PvP. |
| P.Def / M.Def | โ โ โ | Cuts incoming physical and magic damage. |
| Block rate | โ โ | Shield blocks negate big hits and ease healer pressure. |
| Resistances | โ โ | Shrug off debuffs and elemental burst. |
Tune your stones and augments toward survivability. For general character-building principles, see the equipment guide and the augmentation article.
PvP & PvE
In PvE the Temple Knight is the main tank for grinding locations and Raid Bosses (RB): it holds aggro, saves the healer's HP potions and stabilizes the party. In PvP the role shifts toward control and protecting key targets โ you take the hit yourself and ease the pressure on your DDs. For large-scale fights, study castle sieges and general PvP tactics.
Party Role
The Temple Knight fits perfectly into any party that needs a reliable tank with extra utility. It plays best alongside a healer like Eva's Saint and a buffer such as the Swordsinger. With Cubics firing throughout the fight, the class only grows more attractive in longer engagements.
