Healer Role
Without a healer there are no raids on Raid Bosses (RB), no epic Grand Bosses, and no efficient group farming. You keep the party alive, revive the fallen with Resurrection and feed MP to your mages.
There are four healer classes, and demand for them is enormous โ you will always be in demand for any group content.
Healer Comparison
| Class | Race | Role | Best at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bishop | Human | Primary healer | Raw healing, raids, mass PvP, Olympiad |
| Elder | Elf | MP support healer | Recharge for nuker parties |
| Eva Saint | Elf | Upgraded support | Improved Elder, stronger Recharge support |
| Shillien Saint | Dark Elf | Offensive support | Debuffs, aggressive small-group support |
The Bishop is the strongest healer. Greater Heal delivers the highest healing per cast, and Greater Group Heal tops up the whole party at once. The Bishop is mandatory on raids against Antharas and Valakas.
The Elder is the Elven healer built around Recharge, which restores MP to allies. Its direct healing is weaker than the Bishop's, but in nuker parties you are irreplaceable. The Eva Saint is the upgraded 3rd-class transfer of the Elder, while the Shillien Saint is the Dark Elf healer that leans on debuffs and an aggressive support style.
Gear & Skills
Your priorities are Casting Speed and a deep MP pool. At endgame take the Majestic Robe Set; at mid levels use the DC Robe Set. A weapon with the Acumen SA speeds up your heals. For the full picture, see the equipment guide.
| Skill | Use |
|---|---|
| Greater Heal | Heavy single-target healing โ your bread-and-butter heal. |
| Greater Group Heal | Party-wide healing for raids and mass PvP. |
| Resurrection | Revives fallen allies after a wipe. |
| Recharge (Elder/Eva Saint) | Restores MP to allies โ keeps nukers casting non-stop. |
Always keep a stack of Mana Potions on you for long fights.
Healer Tips
The healer is a class for players who prefer a strategic role. Solo grinding is slow, so level in a party from the very first levels. Buffs from an NPC Buffer speed up the process. To farm Adena on your own, take a damage-dealing subclass at level 75+. For more, see the leveling guide.
Healer in PvP
In PvP the healer decides everything. On castle sieges it is the number and skill of healers that determines the winner โ a party without a healer survives mass PvP for seconds.
Bishop in PvP. The Bishop is the best pick for mass PvP and the Olympiad. You keep the party standing even under focus fire. On the Olympiad the Bishop sits near the top: high survivability and self-healing make you a dangerous duelist.
Elder / Eva Saint in PvP. The Elder heals for less, but Recharge gives your mages a non-stop stream of damage. Paired with a Sorcerer or Storm Screamer, you create endless burst.
Shillien Saint in PvP. The Shillien Saint is the most aggressive healer. Its debuffs weaken enemies, and its healing is enough for a small group. It thrives on a "debuff and focus" tactic.
Survival tactics. You are a priority target. Stay behind the tanks, use Blessed Spiritshots (BSpS) to speed up your casts, and bind keys for fast target-switching โ that is a must-have skill.
Common Healer Mistakes
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Overhealing | Don't top a full health bar. Watch the tank's HP and heal at 60-70% โ except on epic bosses, where damage spikes come out of nowhere. |
| Ignoring MP | A healer without MP is useless. Carry Mana Potions and use them early. In a party with an Elder, ask for Recharge regularly. |
| Trying to deal damage | Don't waste MP on attacks in group content. Your job is to keep the party alive โ leave the damage to the DDs. |
| Wrong resurrection priority | On a wipe, use Resurrection on another healer or a tank first. Two healers can revive the whole raid; one DD cannot. |
| No resurrection scrolls | Always carry a stack of Scrolls of Resurrection. If you die, the party should be able to bring you back without a second healer. |
